Proper Etiquette when using Technology

At the beginning of every school year, each student has to sign a technology agreement saying that they will use the computer and any other technology appropriate and will not do anything inappropriate while on them. Just as equally, adults also sign the same type of agreement at the beginning of a new job, stating the same type wording. Maybe even more in depth because adults have free range to do more things on the computer.

This is all done to ensure that people use proper etiquette while on the computer, especially when it comes to work computers and abusing work hours. Many people abuse technology like downloading inappropriate pictures of kids, or upload viruses, or download the wrong type of software which can damage the computer and anyone else on that network. So when it comes to etiquette, there must be guidelines to ensure things are done properly.

Certain things should not be done while on public computers. For example, downloading unknown files from sources you do not know. Opening up personal information, regarding bank accounts, social security numbers, and many more.

These things should not be done on any computer, public or private. Downloading pornographic pictures, viewing or downloading pictures of underage kids, downloading viruses that cause harm to computers, networks, or servers, not trying to break into someone's account info, and definitely not trying to hack government websites. These are things that just aren't acceptable!

There are many more ways to use proper etiquette but here were just a few. If you have more, please feel free to comment!
